Hello Skiers and Riders
We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the dog days of summer.
I know I have been enjoying some mighty fine weather here in the Tetons and getting in as much biking, hiking and water skiing as possible.
Our friends in Latin America are enjoying powder turns as the Andes reports a fresh coat this week with Portillo reporting 4 ½ “ in the last 24 hours and 8 ½” in the last week and Las Lenas reporting powder conditions as well.
There is still plenty of time to get your summer turns in and our experienced sales team is standing by and ready to assist you plan your dream South American ski vacation.
We do have some spring skiing specials for South America so try and clear your calendar and we’ll get you on that first chair.
On another note, I’m sure you’ve seen the headlines with regards to the struggling airline industry. Fares are going up and capacity is being reduced.
If you’re planning on a Christmas, New Years, Presidents week or Spring break trip, I strongly urge you to get that process started now as fares ARE going up and capacity IS being reduced and we do not want to see you priced out of your favorite resort. Our experienced sales agents are standing by and can get you the BEST possible deal to your favorite resort.
We are also excited to offer some early booking incentives. Please see our BOOK BY Specials below

This Week's Featured Resort - Ski Arpa, Chile |
Ski Arpa is South America's only true Snowcat-serviced resort and provides skiers and snowboarders with untracked powder, no crowds, dramatic views and ear-to-ear smiles typically available only through expensive heliski operations.
A two-hour drive from Santiago, Ski Arpa sits under the shadow of the western hemisphere's highest mountain, Mount Aconcagua. The adventure begins in the tiny town of San Esteban, where a 4x4 vehicle takes skiers up to 8,825 feet to the Ski Arpa base camp, Rancho Avalanchas, a picturesque stone backcountry shelter and cafe. From there, skiers ride Snowcats to the upper peaks of the resort, reaching latitudes as high as an astounding 2,500 feet. From here it's up to 3,500 vertical feet of intermediate to expert terrain that is entirely above tree line.
- Season: Mid-June to mid-October
- Annual snowfall: Up to 5 meters
- Equipment: Two Piston Bully Snowcats with a total capacity of 22 riders
- Terrain: 4,000+ acres of ride able terrain
- Elevation: Between 2,700 and 3,740 meters / 9,000 and 12,500 feet
- Location: Only 108 km from Santiago, making for a great day trip
Ski Arpa can be a fantastic add on option if your skiing Valle Nevado, Termas or Portillo in Chile and/or you can make a week out of it and enjoy the Hugh terrain with just you and a few other skiers.
The Ski Organizers has lodging accommodations to suit any budget for Ski Arpa. Call us now and we’ll get you a seat in “the cat”.
